A thermodynamic origin for the Cohen-Kaplan-Nelson bound

چکیده
The Cohen-Kaplan-Nelson bound is imposed on the grounds of logical consistency (with classical General Relativity) upon local quantum field theories. This paper puts into context a thermodynamic principle applicable to with particular equation state in an expanding universe. achieved without overtly appealing either decreasing density states or minimum coupling requirement, though they might still be consistent results described. We do so by defining appropriate Helmholtz free energy which when extremized relative key parameter (the Hubble radius L) provides scaling formula for entropy (an exponent 'r' used text). deduce that CKN one solution this extremization problem r=3/2), but there are others r=2. establishes holographic applied cosmology minimizing universe canonical ensemble, assumption ultraviolet cutoff function causal horizon scale.

A Bound for the Nilpotency Class of a Lie Algebra
In the present paper, we prove that if L is a nilpotent Lie algebra whose proper subalge- bras are all nilpotent of class at most n, then the class of L is at most bnd=(d 1)c, where b c denotes the integral part and d is the minimal number of generators of L.
متن کاملA bound for Feichtinger conjecture
In this paper, using the discrete Fourier transform in the finite-dimensional Hilbert space C^n, a class of nonRieszable equal norm tight frames is introduced and using this class, a bound for Fiechtinger Conjecture is presented. By the Fiechtinger Conjecture that has been proved recently, for given A,C>0 there exists a universal constant delta>0 independent of $n$ such that every C-equal...
متن کاملa study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns
attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...
Thermodynamic origin of life
Understanding the thermodynamic function of life may shed light on its origin. Life, as are all irreversible processes, is contingent on entropy production. Entropy production is a measure of the rate of the tendency of Nature to explore available microstates. The most important irreversible process generating entropy in the biosphere and, thus, facilitating this exploration, is the absorption ...
متن کاملIrreversible Thermodynamic Bound for the Efficiency of Light-Emitting Diodes
A thermodynamic model for light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is developed by considering energy and entropy flows in the system. Thermodynamic constraints have previously been considered separately for the reversible process of electroluminescence in LEDs and for light extraction and collimation in other optical systems. By considering both processes in the LED model, an irreversible upper bound for ...
